What to Expect

Join us and other executives in an afternoon of enjoying fine wine while learning about the key impacts that Amazon Connect brings to businesses worldwide. Event participants will take part in activities prepared by Eugenio Jardim and the team at WiFi Wine Time where they can expect a fun and interactive experience learning more about wine and gain a deeper understanding of wine and the vocabulary to talk about it with confidence.

We will be treated to a fine Piacere Italia wine selection. Historically named by the ancient Greeks Eonotria, which literally translates as the Land of Vines. Wines have been produced in Italy for over 4000 years and both viticulture and the wine trade flourished during the Roman Empire. The paradox of ancient history and modern organization helps explain the fractured but delightful landscape of Italian wine today!

Becky Ploeger serves as the Head of Hilton Reservations and Customer Care where she inspires  innovation to deliver an elevated, world-class customer experience. Becky brings over 20 years  of experience from customer-centric brands like USAA and Kohl’s. She is a passionate thought  leader, providing strategic execution of organization-wide initiatives that enhance productivity,  quality, digitally-enabled and differentiated customer service, technology and bottom-line financial performance. Her impressive record and repeated success in fearlessly delivering transformational change through innovative hands-on operational leadership, relationship building and  project management has led to millions of dollars in revenue generation and expense reduction.

About Sommelier Eugenio Jardim

A native of Brazil, Jardim moved to San Francisco in 1988. He worked at several of the top restaurants in the city and while continuing his education in food and wine, he passed the Court of Master Sommeliers Introductory Course with a special commendation.

In 2010 Sunset Magazine named Eugenio Sommelier of The Year! In 2015, Jardim was selected to become the first Wines of Portugal US Ambassador overseeing and sup porting Portugal’s education and marketing initiatives in the USA. Apart from his work in restaurants, Jardim became a featured guest sommelier and speaker at many national and international wine competitions and confer ences. He has also acted as a judge and panelist for the San Francisco Chronicle, Wine and Spirits Magazine, Dallas Morning News, Bon Appetit, Sunset Magazine, TEXSOM and the Portugal Challenge Wine Competition in Lisbon. He was also the wine expert of the popular PBS weekly television series Joanne Weir Cooking Class.
